The Southern California Clean Energy Authority was founded in response to the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act in 2022 and born out of a critical need voiced by homeowners. Originally operating as the Clean Energy Association, we restructured into regional entities to provide more localized, efficient service.
Our creation was driven by widespread feedback from homeowners frustrated with overpriced solar systems, lack of transparency, and questionable practices from some installers. We knew there had to be a better way—and that's why we exist today.
Our mission is to offer homeowners access to affordable, high-quality solar energy solutions through a network of trusted partners, free from bias.
We are proud to be a fully independent organization—unaffiliated with government agencies, utility companies, or specific solar providers. This independence allows us to focus solely on serving homeowners with the best possible rates, ensuring transparency and integrity in every recommendation we provide.
Why Homeowners Choose Our Trusted Partners:
At Southern California Clean Energy Authority, we believe every homeowner deserves access to clean, affordable solar energy without the fear of overpaying or falling victim to misleading practices. We are here to ensure your transition to solar is seamless, cost-effective, and transparent.
The Southern California Clean Energy Authority does not provide warranties or guarantees on specific tax outcomes related to solar energy. We recommend consulting with your tax advisor to understand how the solar tax credit may apply to your individual situation. We proudly offer alternative solar choices and connect you with independently offered rebates and savings opportunities. Please note that we are not sponsored, endorsed, or affiliated with any particular government agency or program. 1. "No cost" solar options refer to solar as a service (lease) programs; rebates and incentives may differ. Please review terms for details. 2. Savings are based on projected energy costs over 25 years and aggregate customer savings. 3. Source: [EIA Electricity Data](https://www.eia.gov/electricity/data/browser/#/topic/7)
Government regulators have observed an increase over the past few years in consumer complaints about companies that pressure consumers into buying solar panels, including with unfair financing or failing to provide the promised service. Southern California Clean Energy Authority puts all its partners through a screening process before accepting them into the program but they all operate independently and we do not make a guarantee about their service.
